On June 16, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 花季传媒 and Albany Law School cohosted a Feminist Legal Studies Roundtable at the 花季传媒 campus in Lower Manhattan.
Sav Ackerman 鈥25 has always had a strong work ethic. Born into an abusive and impoverished upbringing, both of Sav鈥檚 parents passed away by the time Sav was 15 years old. 鈥淭here were many hard days growing up,鈥 shared Sav. 鈥淧rior to passing away, my mother was a single parent and worked full-time while going to school for nursing. I started working to support myself from the time I was 15 and continued to work throughout law school.鈥
Angie D鈥橝gostino, Dean for Student and Campus Affairs at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 花季传媒, was honored with the Honorable Richard J. Daronco Distinguished Service Award by the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County at the organization鈥檚 annual dinner on June 13, 2025. The prestigious award recognizes individuals of Italian heritage who have made significant contributions to the bench or bar and who exemplify service, leadership, and a deep commitment to community.
The Westchester County Board of Legislators honored Horace E. Anderson Jr., Dean of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 花季传媒, during its annual celebration of Caribbean American Heritage Month on June 16, 2025.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 花季传媒 is pleased to announce that Michael Hamersky has been appointed to serve as the Executive Director of the Pace Energy and Climate Center. In addition to leading the Center, he will teach Natural Resources Law at the Law School. Over nearly four decades, the Pace Energy and Climate Center has established itself as a national leader working at the intersection of energy and the environment.

In her article, Representing Climate Wreckers, published in the NYU Environmental Law Journal (2025), Pace | Haub Environmental Law Professor Camila Bustos examines the ethical responsibilities of attorneys representing fossil fuel companies鈥攖ermed "climate wreckers"鈥攁nd argues for a reevaluation of professional conduct standards in light of the climate crisis.
In his article, The Sound of Science in Major Questions Doctrine Jurisprudence, published in Natural Resources & Environment (ABA, Spring 2025), Pace | Haub Environmental Law Professor Josh Galperin (with co-author Terra Baer) examines how the U.S. Supreme Court鈥檚 use of the major questions doctrine undermines core constitutional and statutory principles鈥攑articularly when the Court treats congressional silence as legislative intent.
