The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ������ý is proud to announce two winners of the 2025 Goettel Prize for Faculty Scholarship. University Distinguished Professor of Law Bridget J. Crawford received the award for her article , in the Minnesota Law Review (109 Minn. L. Rev. 737 (2024)) and Associate Professor of Law Josh Galperin received the award for his article , in the Wisconsin Law Review (2025 Wis. L. Rev. 89 (2025)).

Elisabeth Haub School of Law Professor Bennett Gershman pens an op-ed in The New York Law Journal on the Supreme Court’s recent decision that, in his view, signals an alarming shift toward accepting racial profiling. Professor Gershman dissects the legal rationale behind the ruling and raises broader concerns about its implications for civil liberties and equal protection. He urges the public and legal community to closely examine the Court’s trajectory and the real-world consequences of its decisions.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ������ý partnered with the Westchester County Association (WCA) to host its Profit & Purpose Sustainable Business Conference, a premier forum designed to advance a more climate centric and sustainable future in Westchester and beyond. This year’s conference also debuted the inaugural Profit & Purpose Actionable Solutions Competition, spotlighting student-driven solutions to real-world sustainability challenges. Held Friday, September 12, 2025 on the Pace Haub Law campus, the conference drew more than 100 changemakers and leaders from business, government, nonprofits, and academia to explore practical strategies for sustainable impact.

On September 11, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ������ý’s Sustainable Business Law Hub held the third annual private environmental governance and sustainable business law scholarly workshop. The half-day lightning workshop, co-sponsored by Vanderbilt Law School’s Private Climate Governance Lab, included an impressive gathering of environmentally focused scholars who spent the day workshopping new scholarship. Josh Galperin, Associate Professor of Law and Faculty Director of Pace Haub Law’s Sustainable Business Law Hub organized this year’s workshop.

������ý has announced the reappointment of Horace E. Anderson Jr. as dean of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law with his next term commencing in January 2026. Dean Anderson, who was first named to the role in December 2019 after serving as interim dean, has been selected to lead the law school for another term. His continued leadership reflects the University’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation in legal education, and expanding access to justice.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ������ý is proud to announce that five renowned environmental scholars and practitioners will join the Law School as Haub Visiting Scholars. These distinguished scholars – Sam Bookman, Monika Ehrman, Marianne Engelman-Lado, Douglas Kysar, and Jim Salzman – will bring their expertise to Pace through guest lectures, faculty collaboration, and working with students in the Environmental Law Program and beyond.

Executive Director of the Pace Women’s Justice Center, Cindy J. Kanusher, powerfully addressed President Trump’s dismissive remarks about domestic violence in a widely shared statement featured in The Independent. “Domestic violence is not a private matter or a misunderstanding. It is abuse. It is a crime. And it must be treated with the seriousness it demands,” she said. Kanusher emphasized that minimizing these crimes sends a dangerous message to victims, potentially silencing them and impeding justice. Her remarks have added critical legal and moral context to the media backlash around the issue.

Elisabeth Haub School of Law Professor Bennett Gershman writes a piece in the New York Law Journal examining whether Donald Trump or Jeffrey Epstein had any contact with the Florida U.S. Attorney who brokered Epstein’s controversial plea deal 17 years ago, raising critical questions about influence, power, and accountability.

On September 5, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ������ý hosted the twelfth annual Future Environmental Law Professors Workshop. The workshop is designed for law students and graduates considering or planning careers as legal academics in environmental law broadly defined. The workshop included an informational panel, mock interviews, and practice job talks. In addition, this year Professor Rachel Rothschild, recipient of the 2025 Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award, delivered the keynote lunch address.
